"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." β Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
The sweat, the long hours, the stress, the pressure, and the isolation. No recognition, acknowledgment, or praise for your work. Tears of frustration, desperate cries, dropping to your knees. Attempts at humility and gratitude for the grace entrusted to you. Despite the exhaustion, and still saying, "Yes, Lord, send me; I'll go." Truth: only God really ever knows it all, and that's how it should be, if it's all for His glory.
If you carry vision, know there will be moments when it's heavy, lonely, perplexing, and daunting. In those times, I had to stop, kneel, and cry out to my Father, and you will too. It's His vision, His Word, and only His Spirit enables us. If, as I did, you hear reasons to quit, let me encourage you: remain steadfast. Think of David, anointed king, who endured much before wearing the crown. Ridiculed and envied by family, seen as less than. If you relate, you're in good company.
Need more encouragement, consider Joseph. We often share his story and look to it for inspiration. But can you imagine being in his shoes, enduring what he did? Sure, we've seen the movie and read the story in the Bible countless times, but to actually experience what he went through, many of us would have given up. But Joseph remained steadfast in his conviction and loyalty to his God. If you have sensed the favor of God on your life, endured what appears to be countless setbacks, the chatter of those who do not understand your calling, feelings of being left behind, as if your life is not aligning with the Word God spoke or the vision He showed you, trust Him.
I know we quote this scripture all the time, but it's true: "Do not grow weary in well-doingβ¦" (Galatians 6:9). You know the rest. As well as "The vision will come, though it tarry, wait for itβ¦" (Habakkuk 2:3). You know the rest. Two of my favorite scriptures, among many, are: "God is not a man, that He should lieβ¦" (Numbers 23:19) and "β¦not one word of His shall return unto Him void." (Isaiah 55:11). Why are these two scriptures among my favorites? Here's why. Because they are constant reminders that, even when doubts try to creep in, God is not a man that He should lie, and that is backed by the promise that not one word of His shall return unto Him void. If I am confident that what I am doing is in direct obedience to either His rhema or logos, and that I am following the Holy Spiritβ¦ I am golden. And so are you.
This is June's blog, and this month I invite you to take time to focus on the specific things that Father God has called you to, entrusted to your care and stewardship. Seek Him, His plan, and His direction, and continue to rely on Him for His strength and wisdom. Speaking of wisdom, another favorite scripture of mine is James 1:5: "If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of the Father." You know the rest. Now listen, Father God knew you before He placed you in your mother's womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He knew you; that means He knew who you were, what He called you into the earth realm to do, whether or not you were going to accept that calling (yes, you do have a choice), and that you would be reliant upon Him. And guess what? He stands ready to guide you to success in all that He has entrusted to you.
Make no mistake: you will have growing pains. So cry and scream when you need to, be gracious to yourself in moments of doubt, and remember to ask for His peace. And if you have serious battles of the mind, pause and ask Father God to let this mind be in you, which is also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). Remember, it's all for His Glory. You're not alone: Many are walking the same path, including me. He is faithful to the faithful. What has Father entrusted to your hands this season?
Blessings,
Prophetess Ceola J.
